East Village E20

Built to house 17,000 athletes and officials during the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Athletes' Village is now being transformed into 'East Village' -an exciting new neighbourhood for London, with the first residents moving in to the area in Winter 2013.

Designed for modern, spacious living by 16 international architects, East Village comprises 2,818 new homes; 1,439 of which Get Living London are offering for private rent. Uniquely, residents who rent through Get Living London do not have to pay any rental fees and can benefit from longer term tenancy agreements with built in flexibility.

The remaining 1,379 homes have been purchased by Triathlon Homes to become high-quality affordable housing homes, giving the choice of buying or renting to people with a range of income levels.

With excellent transport links, Westfield Stratford City and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on its doorstep, East Village is a neighbourhood like no other – home to Chobham Academy, one of London’s top academy schools, a new medical centre, wetlands and waterways, and a host of cafes, shops and restaurants.

A recent report by the CEBR's London Residential Fundamentals Index has concluded that the combination of transport links, quality of life, local services, and access to employment opportunities in E20 will rival such well-established and desirable north- and west-London districts as Highbury and Hammersmith.
